Vincent
Gino Ciccarelli, AIA
Vince received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University in 1992 and has since been practicing architecture on projects from New York to Florida. He worked for four years in New York on retail and educational projects before moving to Charlotte in 1996. He spent the next five years specializing in retail and entertainment design. During this time he worked on projects ranging from Balducci's specialty foods in Manhattan to the Shark restaurant at SeaWorid Florida. He was also the designer and project architect for several Charlotte area school projects. After spending much of 2002 traveling and studying architecture in Europe, he worked one year working on projects for several major southeastern universities, before starting Insight Architects. Vince is interested in helping schools design facilities for the 21st century. These new schools are vibrant, energetic environments that emphasize personalization, multiple modes of learning, personal responsibility and achievement While avoiding the atmosphere of mass produced education that accompanies so many other institutions. He believes that a well designed school can be a tool to help educators teach today's students to think creatively, communicate well, build a strong, ethical identity and integrate with the local and global community. Vince brings his passion for finding innovative solutions and his attention to detail to every project, regardless of size. He believes that quality design can help people reach their goals, achieve their dreams and dramatically improve their quality of life
