Vince
received his Bachelor of Architecture degree
from Cornell University in 1992 and has since
been practicing architecture on projects
from New York to Florida. He worked for four
years in New York on retail and educational
projects before moving to Charlotte in 1996.
He spent the next five years working for
a Charlotte area design firm specializing
in retail and entertainment design. During
this time he worked on projects ranging from
Balducci's specialty foods in Manhattan to
the Shark restaurant at SeaWorld Florida.
He was also the designer and project architect
for several Charlotte area school projects.
After spending much of 2002 traveling and
studying architecture in Europe, he worked
one year for a national inter-disciplinary
architectural and engineering firm working
on projects for several major southeastern
universities, before starting Insight Architects.
Through his experience with renovation and
adaptive reuse projects, Vince has focused
on establishing Insight Architects as innovative
experts in the adaptive reuse field. He believes
that existing structures provide ideal opportunities
for creative thinkers to extract value and
create beauty from what some see as dilapidated
eye sores, and that this can be done at a
significant cost savings to new construction
while maintaining the existing urban infrastructure.
Vince brings his passion for finding innovative
solutions and his attention to detail to
every project, regardless of size. He believes
that quality design can help people and communities
achieve their dreams, enhance their organizations,
and dramatically improve their quality of
life.
